  When and How soon should I start dating?

  mr c laughed fondly when i asked him in barcelona if he missed me yet and wanted me back.

  so how soon is too soon to get back into the dating scene?

  no one knows how long she had been there.

  she was hypothermic when they found her.

  Specific banned shows, songs, etc...?

  i know the society tells people not to listen to rock n roll cause its from teh satan, not to watch r rated movies because they're "worldly", etc.

  but i was wondering if folks had any specific instances where one song, one show, one movie, or whatever was singled out as being particularly 'evil', and banned on an individual basis?

  i was never a jw, but was in the worldwide church of god...the two are rather similar, i've seen many (and made quite a few myself) comparisons on the board; and i can remember as a child that every once in a while certain things would get brought up as being more evil and worldly than others.. examples of specific bans:.

  don't know about specific bans on movies etc. Didn't need them though. Parents did a fine job of banning almost everything. They wouldn't even let us see aristocats cuz there was a kissing scene between two cats in the anime. We were forced to walk out of the movie Terms of endearment cuz there was one swear word.Hell my mom would rip the cover off the TV guide if there was too much clevage showing.Never got away with anything, ever.I wasn't really even aware, what metal was, in the 80"s, and missed all kinds of music. My dad doesn't listen to any rock, only classical.

  Hi,I'm a fellow Canadian scapegoat too. I guess by that, you mean the "honest guy", that was hammered, and made an example of. We should be proud of ourselves, cuz when people see what happens to guys like us, they get better at pioneeering the fade technique. Honesty, and the truth get you nowhere, in that religion. Kissing ass for many many years might though. Stick around, and maybe you can collectively help us pioneer, giving them the finger too!

  Are you being a grumpy crumpy. I think you have overidden your good judgement with your expectations. Perhaps sending out signals that were misread both ways. Always leave part of yourself emotionally detached. This will improve your assessment of matters and avoid hurt feelings. There is a time for the emotional stuff later. Your a good person Crumpy don't let it bother you. You're doin fine. Deep down you love men, and you can't hide it.

  so i went to the bar again tonight for my 4th appearance at the open mic comedy event.

  my last three sets went fine, got plenty of laughs, and i felt good about them.

  tonight i thought some folks from work were going to be there so i was using old material that had worked previously.

  You got balls anyway Dave. I think dealing with people like that will get better if you can maintain your composure. I think you'd have done fine, had you not lost it, seeing a pretty face. Before you start next time, quickly scan the audience for places you might find trouble with such people. Good material is good material. Just tell yourself that they are tremendously flawed and don't get too personal a vibe with them. Anticipation of what such people can do is helpful, so go over in your head, all possible scenario's, before you go up. Then just shoot back without aleinating the audience. I know you can do it! You seem like a funny guy! That was a good lesson you learned their. Don't worry you'll find your groove.
